Structured World is a non-profit association being formed in Romania to fund true open-source development and to build open data standards. It will support MIT- and Apache-licensed projects, never open-core, and it maintains structured.world, the open product taxonomy for EU Digital Product Passport compliance.
Registration in progress
The founding documents of the association have been filed with the court for entry in the Romanian Register of Associations and Foundations. Until that entry is made, the association does not yet exist as a legal person: it cannot accept donations, enrol members or sign agreements. Everything on this site describes the plan and a preview of the platform, and this page will be updated on the day registration is granted.

Fund True Open Source
Crowdfunding for specific features of MIT- and Apache-licensed projects. The overwhelming majority of every donation goes to the developer who builds the funded feature; the exact proportions are set each year by the Board and published in the internal regulations.
Open Data Standards

Build OSS Tools
Software the association develops or funds is published in full under MIT or Apache 2.0, never open-core. GitLab MCP and Vue Privacy, maintained by the founders, are the first candidates for its programmes.
How Funding Will Work
Projects Set Goals
Open-source maintainers list features they need funding for, with cost estimates and delivery timelines.
You Fund What Matters
Choose a goal and contribute in crypto (USDT) or by bank transfer. Payments are tracked transparently and crypto payments are verifiable on-chain.
Software Gets Built
The developer builds the feature and gets paid. A small share covers the association’s operations and promotion of the funded project, in the proportions published for the year.

True Open Source Only
Only MIT- and Apache-licensed projects, not open-core. Where original maintainers are unresponsive, the association can take over and continue development for the community.
Non-Profit Association
A Romanian asociație under OG 26/2000, registration pending. Income may be used only for the statutory purpose, nothing is distributed to members, and an annual report with income by source, expenditure and the projects funded will be published on this site.

Membership
Membership opens after registration; the annual fee is set by the General Assembly. Members support the ecosystem and help decide which projects to promote next.
